The Tamworth Region is one of the largest poultry meat producers in NSW and our position is continuing to grow with ongoing expansion in poultry production. Poultry production is undergoing unprecedented growth internationally, and our Region is well placed to capitalise on this development.

Food processing is a growth industry in our Region with employment levels increasing due to the relatively low input cost of skilled and unskilled labour, as well as abundant industrial and rural land. The Region’s existing core of processing industry leaders are well supported by excellent transport links and infrastructure, enabling ongoing opportunities for further growth.
